Part Two: On Obama Care
If Obama Care is so great and 18 trillion dollar debt is not a problem…
On Obama Care:
Before getting to what Robert Reich said, we have to back up and examine the comments of two people: Nancy Pelosi and Johnathan Gruber.
Why did Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House, say: We have to pass the bill to find out what is in it?
And why did Johnathan Gruber, an architect of the Affordable Care Act and MIT Professor, say : The bill was written in a tortured way to make sure the CBO [Congressional Budget Office] did not score the mandate as taxes… lack of transparency is a huge political advantage … call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever…
It seems to me that these two people, I would argue most of the liberal leaders (and the Republican leadership—but this is a different kind of issue) think you area too stupid to know what is best for you. Why else would all this deception be needed from the most transparent administration in U.S. History? I will let you answer that question. But, let me point out, no Republicans voted for the bill, so were they trying to lie to everyone or just Democrats? Do they think Democrat voters are stupid? I think if you give the American voter all the information about an issue they will make a good decision, but in regard to this issue those in power wanted more power so they lied to get the bill passed.
Why did Robert Reich, a liberal professor at Berkeley, say: Young people have to pay a heck of a lot more and old people need to die?
Really? According to Mr. Reich, old people are useless because they are not productive anymore and their care costs too much. Is our worth based on how much we cost or produce? This is a dehumanizing idea. By the way, this is how Obama Care is designed to work. Please refer to my previous article comparing Obama Care and Car Insurance, it’s not really about health care but control.
After the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed, why did Terry O’Sullivan President of LIUNA say: Fix or repeal, Obama Care will destroy union health care and the forty hour work week?
Even before this speech given by Mr. O’Sullivan in 2013 most unions had been given a waiver until 2018, but they are working toward an exemption or subsidy. And Congress (another link here) along with their staff have been given an exemption from (or, more accurately, a subsidy for) Obama Care. Apparently, they don’t want to pay more, so it must be that it will increase premiums and/or destroy the health insurance benefit. I think the President said we would save money ($2,500 a year) with Obama Care.
So, to reiterate, why all the deception and lies? Why will we need a VAT tax and death panels to deal with the national debt? Why do young people have to pay more, and old people need to die to keep the national health care system from imploding? Why does the Congress and unions not want to follow the ACA law as it was written? What this does means: You pay more. You don’t get to make life changing healthcare decision if you’re old. I am not making these claims, they are. What I am saying is we citizens need to act.
